Sometimes it feels like pleasing God is too hard.

“Because he loves us so much, He chose us before He even made the world. He decided way back then to give us this new life that would keep us faultless in His eyes through His son, Jesus Christ.”
Insight
Sometimes being a christian can feel like a chore. Because of that, we look at God as our boss who is going to fire us if we do not do our jobs right as Christians. But God sent Jesus Christ to change our position of being an employee to being God’s child. We are trying to clock into a job, when God wants us to tap into a relationship with Him as our Father instead.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, remind me of my identity as your child, so that I may embrace it. I struggle at times to truly see you as my Father, but now I know that You desire a relationship with me more than You do perfection, because You sent Jesus to take care of that for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
